You'd be Cuckoo to pass this one up!

Ticket redemption games have evolved into one of the safest investments for the coin-op industry. This is in large part due to two factors; You can not do it at home, and players win redemption tickets for their efforts!

There are many categories within the ticket redemption family, vid-demption, stop action, alley rollers, and more but the ones that are always at or near the top of every FEC earnings report are the quick coin games.

Crazy Cuckoo delivers an intuitive game play experience that creates “I know can beat this game” feeling in players. It looks easy enough; roll the coin down a chute through the hole in the swinging cuckoo clock pendulum to get a chance at the ticket bonus. Game play is compelling and fun, and players trying to get their coin past the pendulum.

Once their coin makes it past the pendulum, the player shifts his/her attention to the rotating Cuckoo Clock face. The Crazy Cuckoo pops out of his house and “lays an egg” that drops into a vertically spinning playfield arranged with many different ticket value holes including the bonus hole. If the player gets the egg into the bonus hole, the progressive ticket bonus is won!

Article from Coinslot 2013 Redmeption Issue

Sega’s Justin Burke told B2B about how well his firm’s redemption products have been performing in the market of late. He explained: “Our range of redemption products from US company Ice is doing fantastically well for us. In fact you could say Ice is on fire at the moment! Doodle Jump in particular is rocking the world. Its appeal lies in the fact that it’s based on the popular smartphone app so that it’s instantly recognisable. This is really interesting inasmuch that the relationship between coin-op and video gaming seems to have gone full circle since the days of Pong. It’s not that long ago that a coin-op game would come out first, and then be emulated on a console. Nowadays, the app comes first then everything follows after.”

Games donated by the amusement industry.

The Sandy Hook Arcade Center (SHAC) was established to foster fun for families and children. Filled with over 22 games and attractions there is something for everyone at SHAC. Sega Amusements shows its strong support of the arcade by donating amusement machines to the centre, which opened its doors recently.

The Sandy Hook Arcade Center, which was built on the generosity of our friends near and far, is a not for profit business. Through donations and volunteers we hope to continue to promote the family value Newtown is known for at the Sandy Hook Arcade Center.
