Having wrapped up a very successful EAG show Sega Amusements looks positively ahead to the new season with is strong line-up of products.
Leading the line-up and grabbing the attention of operators were major blockbuster video titles such as Transformers Human Alliance and Plants vs. Zombies™ The Last Stand. Transformers 42” deluxe with its bright yellow cabinet with chrome trimmings life like iconic Bumblebee head top flash for the 55” theatre cabinet begged the attention of players to give it a go. As players got on the gun to shoot down evil Decepticons they were sucked in the high energy, action packed gameplay of Transformers.
Front of the booth in pole position was Plants vs. Zombies a game synonymous as one the most successful PC/mobile app games. In Sega’s ticket redemption version for Plants vs. Zombies™ The Last Stand, players have to use the cabinet mounted Pea Shooter controller to bring down advancing waves of zombies. Every aspect of the game and cabinet has been carefully designed to deliver that unique charm, personality and exciting game play that player will love and keep coming back for more. For operators that want to take full advantage of this distinctive brand Sega also launched Plants vs. Zombies™ ‘wack-a-mole’ styled game.
Storm Racers and Riders, Sega’s newly released twin driver and bike game, were on display for the first time in Europe. Visitors experienced super-fast motorbike racing like never before with Storm Rider and take arcade racing to new limits with Strom Racer. Both games feature 42” HD displays, graphics that give a sense of high speed racing, attractive fully lit cabinets, over 10 tracks and cars or bikes to choose.
Sega dedicated a large part of its stand to demonstrate its huge line up of redemption games. Its own mechanical redemption titles such as Snakes & Ladders, Double Spin and the video redemption game Pirates Of Monster Island were all developed and manufactured in United Kingdom by Sega for the global market. Also on show were products from leading redemption manufacturer ICE. Which brought out three games in the currently trending carnival themed based games. This included titles such as Down The clown where players throw balls to tip over or down the clowns to win tickets, a classic carnival game and sequel to last years smash hit Milk Jug Toss. Finally, Whack N Win a skill based hammer game with great lighting and carnie voices. Also from ICE was Harpoon Lagoon one of the top earning four player redemption games and Cut The Rope a touch screen game base on the award winning app game.
Sega Total Solution and Sega Prize Europe were also present showing their latest products. Sega Total Solutions exhibited their range of tickets, change machines, ticket eater and parts. While Sega Prize launched its latest range of plush toys such as Doodle Jump, Plants vs Zombies™, Hello Kitty Ballerina Collection and added two new products to the ever popular Tokio technology range with Tokio Sound a wireless portable speaker and Tokio Active Action Camera.
“There was a sense of optimism amongst buyers wanting to invest in the latest products to give them a boost throughout the new season.
