    Another Allstar game!

“When Sonic first came on the scene the parents of the children visiting your locations were children themselves,” explains Sega’s General Manager, Peter Gustafson. “When they see Sonic displayed on our line of Arcade Sports Games, they’re re-connected to a fond memory which creates a higher perceived entertainment value. Because of this, they’re much more likely to encourage their kids - who also know and like Sonic – to play a Sonic Arcade Sports Game than any generic game, often playing right along with their kids.”

UK Sales Manager from Calne in Wiltshire.

    Hi Phil

Tell us a little bit about your time in the amusements industry?

I actually sold Sega equipment when I was Sales Manager at Cosmic Video Amusements, but I started working at Sega on 5th November 2012. I've been in the Amusement industry for 30 years and have worked for Crown Leisure, JNC Export Sales, Wessex Coin Ltd, MAM Inn Play (No longer trading) and Associated Leisure. When I first joined the industry, they were the days of the electro mechanical fruit machines and pinball machines. We were just on the era of micro processers that eventually did away with the old type relays in machines. The industry was in much better shape during that era even though the technology has progressed so much over the years.

    Introducing Giant Key Master!

“Our first production run sold out before it even arrived,” stated Sega’s Sales Manager, Vince Moreno. “We’re already selling well into our second run and expect Giant Key Master to become a staple product for bigger locations, malls, and theatres.” Giant Key Master offers the same addictive game play as Sega’s Award Winning Key Master with the added benefit of being twice the size. There are two sides to the game; the left side has a playfield and prize chute configured to handle bigger prizes, and the right side looks a lot like a Standard Key Master.

Each side has its own transaction device and set of player controls. It’s essentially two Standard Key Masters joined together with one important difference. In creating Giant Key Master, Sega wanted to make sure the game was capable of vending larger prizes than a Standard Key Master. “Our Standard Key Master has a factory recommended maximum prize size of 8”W X 2 ¾”D X 10”H - the size of an IPAD,” continued Moreno. “The left side of Giant Key Master can vend prizes as big as 13”W X 7”D x 13”H – big enough for an XBOX, Play Station, or Macbook Laptop Computer.”
