TOURNAMENT RULES
EXTREME HUNTING 2 TOURNAMENT EDITION DEER & BOW OFFICIAL RULES
Each Game Requires a Game Fee Designated by the Location
- SPONSORS: Sega Amusements U.S.A., Inc. and Buckmasters Ltd. The Extreme Hunting 2 Tournament Edition Deer & Bow Tournament ("Tournament") can be played at participating Tournament locations ("Participating Locations"). Void in Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Vermont and Tennessee.
- TOURNAMENT PERIOD: The Tournament begins September 14, 2006 and ends October 12, 2006 ("Tournament Period").
- ELIGIBILITY: Tournament is only open to legal residents of the United States (excluding residents of Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Vermont and Tennessee and U.S. territories, possessions and assigns) who are 13 years of age or older. Employees of Sega Amusements U.S.A., Inc. and Buckmasters Ltd. ("Sponsors"), and each of their affiliates, subsidiaries, promotion and advertising agencies, and related companies and the immediate families of each are ineligible.
- YOU MUST REGISTER TO PLAY: During the Tournament Period you must first register on the Extreme Hunting 2 Tournament Edition game machine at Participating Locations by choosing your username, pin number, and entering your zip code and birth date. You are allowed to pre-register your information prior to September 14, 2006.
- HOW TO PLAY: All players playing the Extreme Hunting 2 Tournament Edition "Deer & Bow Tournament" ("Game") compete together for Best Score in the Game. To play you must first register or, if registered, log on and select "Tournament Play" prior to playing the Game. Competitors may play an unlimited amount of times however, the results are not cumulative, and are based on the highest score for one Game. You may play as often as you like, but playing is subject to Participating Locations rules and schedules and game machine availability. You may play more than one Game consecutively without logging in again. Each Game will cost the player two credits.
- Each Game features scenes ("Spots") as follows: 10 Deer Spots, a Bonus Spot (Target Shooting) and a Special Spot (Alligator Hunt) where bonus points can be earned. The object is to shoot the Buck keeping in mind that shooting a Doe will end your Spot and forfeit any points you would have earned during that Spot.
- Eight Arrows are provided for each Deer Spot, an unlimited supply of bullets for the Bonus Spot, and Rifle Bullets are given for the Special Spot. Once a player runs out of ammunition the Spot will end.
- Aiming accurately with gun unit will enhance the players skill. Players are encouraged to use the Sight on the end of the gun for aim, and shoot the Vital Areas to enhance accuracy. The object of the Game is to kill Deer and skill is rewarded by receiving higher points depending on the following factors:
- The shot animal must die for any of the points categories to apply.
- The weight of the animal, although during the "Bonus Spot" and "Special Spot," 1 point is awarded per pound of the animal shot down.
- The distance of the shot with higher points earned for a shot from a longer distance 1 point is earned per foot of distance.
- The accuracy of the shot based upon the proximity of shooting the animal 100 points are earned for shot in the vital areas (chest or head); 40 points for shoulder area; 30 points for back area; and 10 points for flank area. If the animal is shot more than once, the player earns points for each shot.
- If a baby or female animal is shot during a Spot that Spot will immediately end and no points otherwise earned during that Spot will be awarded.
- 1000 bonus points are earned for a "Perfect Spot" (3 kills in one Deer Spot).
- In the "Bonus Spot" each target shot earns 10 point; 300 bonus points are earned if a "Perfect Bonus Spot" is achieved (all animals are killed during any one Spot).
- 3000 bonus points are earned if the player kills the one animal featured during the "Special Spot".
- At the conclusion of the Game
- for each "Perfect Spot" 500 additional points are awarded; or
- for Perfect Spots in all 10 Deer Spots 10,000 additional points are awarded.
- 6. HOW TO WIN: Winners will be determined by the players with the highest scores from one Game Session played during the Tournament Period. If a tie takes place, then the runner-up position will not receive a prize. To keep track during the Tournament Period, the top scoring players in the National competition will be listed in the Game and online throughout the Tournament Period by username, score and city. The best score for each player will be eligible; only one score will count. The database will keep track of each players best score. If a player beats his or her own best score during the Tournament Period, the database will update it the following day.
- Players with the top ten (10) scores from all participating locations will be the 10 national winners.
- If there are any tying scores, tying contestants will each win the applicable prize.
- PRIZES: Only one prize per winning player will be awarded.
- The #1 highest scoring Winner will receive a compact home HDTV, Game T-Shirt, and select Buckmasters' prizes - Approximate Retail Value (ARV) $700.
- The #2 highest scoring Winner will receive a home foosball table, Game T-Shirt, and select Buckmasters' Prizes - ARV $500.
- The #3 highest scoring Winner will receive a PSPTM value pack, Game T-Shirt, and select Buckmasters' Prizes - ARV $300.
- The #4-10 highest scoring Winners will receive a Game T-Shirt or select Buckmasters' Prizes - ARV $10.
- HOW TO CLAIM A PRIZE: At the end of the Tournament Period players are responsible for logging on to www.extremehunting.net and clicking on tournament ranking under the player menu to view the results of the Tournament to determine if they are a potential Local or National Winner. Winners will be posted by username, score and city. Winners will be posted at the Game and online. All potential winners are required to follow three steps to claim a prize:
- Register full contact information at www.extremehunting.net by clicking on the player menu and selecting user log-in;
- Print and fill out a Declaration Form at www.extremehunting.net by clicking on prize claim under the tournaments tab or call (877) SEGA-FUN to have a copy sent to the players mailing address;
- Submit the Declaration Form via regular mail or fax which will require a witness signature along with a legible photocopy of an identification card verifying the name, address and birthday of the player. Forms should be sent by mail to Sega Amusements USA, Inc. 800 Arthur Avenue, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, ATTN: Event Promoter, or faxed to (847) 427-1065. The Declaration Form must be postmarked within ninety (90) days, or that score and ranking will be disqualified.
- If a potential winner is under 18 (or under 19 if a resident of NE or AL) he or she must also have a parent or legal guardian sign the document granting permission to receive the prize.
- Players may contact Sega with any questions (i) at the mailing address above, (ii) by calling toll free (877) SEGA-FUN, (iii) by fax (847) 427-1065, or (iv) by email at extremehunting@sau.sega.com.
All prizes must be claimed by January 31, 2007. Prizes are non-transferable, and cannot be substituted with the exception that the Sponsors, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value due to unavailability.
- GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsors and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, stations and their respective officers, directors, shareholders and employees (collectively, "Releasees") shall not have liability and shall be held harmless from any damage, loss or injury to the participants and/or Winners or any third party for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, or property resulting from participation in this Tournament or for the use or misuse of any prize; or for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to participants or any other persons computer or any other equipment used by the participants related to or resulting from participation in this Tournament, or for any injury to person or property arising from the players participation in this Tournament or any Tournament-related activity or from the acceptance, receipt, possession, use or misuse of any prize won. Releasees are not responsible for lost, late, illegible or misdirected prize claims or mail. Winners, except where legally prohibited, grant permission (and agree to confirm that grant in writing, upon request) for Sponsors and those acting under their authority to use Winners name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation and agree that their usernames, city and scores can be posted online, on the Game and at Participating Locations. Sponsors are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the altering or the administration of the Tournament or the announcement of the prize. These rules are subject to change in Sponsors sole discretion.

- DISPUTES: In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Official Rules or the Tournament, regardless of the number or identity of defendant(s) or plaintiff(s), such dispute shall be submitted to arbitration in the County of Los Angeles, California, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the American Arbitration Association then in effect, provided that said arbitration shall be heard before a single arbitrator, selected pursuant to such rules and regulations, and shall be conducted on an expedited basis in confidence. The arbitrator shall not have the power to impose punitive damages and in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby irrevocably waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental or consequential damages, or any other damages, including attorneys fees, other than participants actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with participating in the Tournament). Each party hereby waives any and all rights and benefits which it might otherwise have or be entitled to under federal law or the laws of the State of California or any other state to litigate any such dispute in court, it being the intention of the parties to arbitrate, according to the provisions of these Official Rules, all such disputes. The arbitrators decision shall be controlled by the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and shall be final and binding, and shall provide for each party to bear its own costs of arbitration and attorneys fees. EACH PARTY EXPRESSLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO A JURY. Judgment upon the award of the arbitrator may be entered or enforced in any court of competent jurisdiction. The Tournament and these Official Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regards to its principles of conflicts of law.

- CAUTION: Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found in the sole discretion of the Sponsors to be tampering with any aspect of the Tournament. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Tournament is a violation of criminal and civil law, and should an attempt be made, the Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
